Near the turn of the 19th century, the Northern Pacific Railroad opened a depot in Yakima, Washington, giving the rest of the world a way to taste the fruits of Central Washington. More than 100 years ago, three men saw the unlimited potential of this fertile region offering rich soil, sunny days and easy irrigation – making it the perfect birthplace for a new ag industry.
