Premier Electric was founded in 1988 by Robert Forbis, a third generation electrical contractor with a family history of electrical contracting success dating back to the early 1900s. Robert's grandfather was one of the original electrical contactors in the US.

Robert earned his Florida master's license in 1986 and two years after that, in 1988, he started Premier Electric with $10,000 in savings and three initial employees. Within six months he had 55 employees and was ranked the fastest growing company on the west coast of Florida.

Premiere Electric is now celebrating 28 years in business.
